Is there a lot of aftercare I need to worry about when I get a dental crown? Immediately after the procedure some patients will experience some tenderness, but this is short-lived and can be treated with over-the-counter remedies. From the perspective of long-term care for the crown itself, it can be treated just as your normal tooth but you should limit chewing ice or other hard substances since breakage might occur.
